After School 4H Program Assistant - Association Program Assistant - Montour Falls, NY

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schuyler County has an opening for a part-time Association Program Assistant II-After School 4H Program Assistant for its Montour Falls, New York offices.
This position assists the Association Program Coordinator II in the coordination and operations of the Odessa-Montour School District 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) 4-H After-School/Reach Program.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate or Equivalent Education (GED/High School Diploma + 1 Year transferrable program/functional experience.)
Experience relevant to the role of the position.
Ability to assist in the delivery and coordination of existing evidence-based 4-H curricula to participants.
Proficiency with windows-based software including use of the Internet, Social Media, and Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher and Excel.
Ability to work independently and to effectively participate in professional team efforts.
Ability to plan and organize work responsibilities according to priorities developed by team members and immediate supervisor.
Ability to meet acceptable background check requirements.
Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in after school programming
Ability to coordinate academic and enrichment activities.
Experience in project-based instruction desired
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Program Responsibilities:

Administrative Responsibilities:
Administrative Coordination/Operation 95%
Assist in the coordination of established educational after-school programs and 4-H enrichment activities in areas of healthy lifestyles, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), and civic engagement as needed.
Assist in the coordination of program implementation efforts, planning and activities.
Organize and coordinate activities related to After School Programming, including distribution of healthy snacks and meals.
Assist in utilizing effective marketing strategies to promote the Program
Assist the Program Coordinator in increasing program awareness and strengthening recruitment.
Assist the Program Coordinator in coordinating day-to-day program activities
Notify Program Coordinator of any problems, issues or concerns in a timely fashion
Coordinate the activities of participating students and facilitate programming aligned to program goals that support students and families.
Periodically meet with Program Coordinator to review program expectations and ensure alignment of content with curriculum and program goals
Become familiar with and follow 4-H enrollment procedures.
Ensuring parent signed consent forms are on file for participating students.
Attend Site Committee meetings as requested.
Adhere to school safety procedures and policies.
Submit materials requests to the Program Coordinator II for the sites.
Track inventory of program supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

In cooperation with Supervisor and/or Executive Director, jointly develop and pursue a professional development plan as a means to increase competencies relative to position accountabilities and to address changes and Association priorities.
Collaborate in activities that are in general support of Cornell Cooperative Extension and perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION DETAILS:
This is an part-time position, 15 hours per week. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
